As usual the VAAFSE Committe had his annual meeting yesterday night. Here below a summary of discussed topic and decision taken. |

DECISIONS TAKEN

VAAFSE activity during 2008
|
Committee unanimously agreed with COMAIRSOUTHV that past year activity was positive and effective, especially mention to TLP course that showed very good results.

VAAFSE Statute
|
VAAFSE statute draft was unanimously accepted with no or minor changes, soon it will be published on the site.

BVR server issue
|
Committee agreed that actual cost of about 2000 € per year is not affordable, however since it is privately payed until the end of 2009 it will be used until that date. In the meantime two actions will be done:
- a new virtual server provider will be identified, rented and tested for a short period in order to be ready to switch when actual server contract will end (December 2009)
- all VAAFSE unit members agreed to make donations in a free basis in order to sustain actual server costs, donations can be done individually or as whole unit. COBRA 2, BVR responsible will send donations instructions to all VAAFSE committe that will disseminate to their own members.
VAAFSE SOFTWARE DIVISION WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERALL SERVER PROJECT

VAAFSE 2009 exercise program
|
COMAIRSOUTH proposed program was unanimously accepted
- next year VAAFSE will conduct a dynamic campaign on a regular basis of one event each 2-3 weeks. Campaign program and plans will be prepared by VAAFSE operation and training staff and ready to be published before February 2009.
- A live range campaign on Deci range will be held on February / March
- A TLP course will be organized on September pending on the number of planned students attending.

VAAFSE standards to mantain membership
|
The need to have standards to mantain membership was unanimously accepetd, COMAIRSOUTHV, TLP Commander and OPERATION Division Commander were appointed to prepare such numbers and propose them to VAAFSE committe.

VAAFSE Committee unanimously declared that such type of behaviour won't be accepted by VAAFSE and won't be tolerated if showed by VAAFSE members, this is also clearly stated into VAAFSE statute. |

Virtual Royal Netherland AirForce request to join VAAFSE
|
Request to join VAAFSE was widely approuved since some VRNLAF sim pilots participated to the TLP last event withou major flaws. VRNLAF site can be viewed here:www.vrnlaf.nl
However a formal request was not received yet, VRNLAF will be officially added to VAAFSE members when such request will be received by COMAIRSOUTHV. TLP Commander (aka MARTE 21) is appointed to mantain such contacts.

9th Aerobrigata Virtual request to leave VAAFSE
|
Notwithstanding VAAFSE friendly and open mind approach to the "real world mystyfication" behaviour showed by 9th Aerobrigata Virtual, his commander did not accept VAAFSE recommendations and decided to leave our organisation. VAAFSE Committee unanimously accepted this decision considering it not a big loss seen the poor contribution given by 9th Aerobrigata.
With immediate effect 9th Aerobrigata Virtual membership to VAAFSE is terminated, all 9th Aerobrigata accounts VAAFSE site will be closed.

Election of COMAIRSOUTHV
|
The actual COMAIRSOUTHV, LUCE 1, was unanimously appointed to be COMAIRSOUTHV for the second year. Following VAAFSE rules LUCE1 won't be appointed for a third year. |

VAAFSE recommend that all VAAFSE members should have a free accessing to all member units web sites. All unit commanders agreed to open at least an account to all VAAFSE Committe members..

COMAIRSOUTHV once elected made this appointments:
- LUPO1 , aka Max, as OPERATION DIVISION Chief, he substitutes COBRA 2 due to his planned long absence this year. (thanks to Josè for his work)

- MARTE 21, aka Diego, is confirmed as TRAINING&EVAL DIVISION Chief, TLP Commander as well.
- LUCE 13, aka Fiilippo, as TRAINING&EVAL DIVISION Chief assistant
